Arlan joined the fire company in 1966 as one of the very first Junior Firefighters in the departments history. He served in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer at Fort Myer, Virginia. Arlan served for 3 years from 1971-1973. Arlan was also first the Quartermaster at the Trexlertown Fire Company. He has held the office of Trustee as well as Captain, Assistant Chief, and Chief. Arlan has driven every piece of apparatus the department has ever owned from our 1931 Model AA to our 2018 Smeal Engine. He has 3 children, 2 grandchildren, and a very understanding wife. He is a retired truck driver of 40 years and is now a part time Parks & Rec employee at UMT.
